Perssaudaraan Korban Napza Indonesia (PKNI) is a network of drug user organisations which was established in 2006 to address stigma, violence, discrimination and violations of human rights towards people who use drugs.
PKNI has grown from a loose arrangement of support groups scattered across 11 provinces in the mid-2000s, to an independent, leading national network representing the common priorities of 25 self-organised drug user groups across 19 provinces in Indonesia.
Representing the organisation is Ernie Bulan who this week was awarded the Red Ribbon award under the advocacy and human rights category. She spoke with JOY reporter Ozlem Ozturk after appearing on a panel called Women Drug Users: Our voices, our lives, our health.
