Richard Burzynski from UNAIDS speaks with JOY 94.9’s Matt McDonell on the stigma and discrimination that is impeding progress in the global AIDS response. Richard speaks of the need to tailor solutions for individual countries and communities and create policies that meet the needs of their population. He encourages LGBT activists to join forces with other minority groups, such as women’s groups, to broaden their appeal to the local population and be better heard by governments.
