Professor John Kaldor from the Kirby Institute spoke with JOY 94.9’s Matt McDonell to launch Indonesia Test and Treat – a new study in partnership with three Indonesian universities. Indonesia’s HIV challenge is largely focussed on high risk groups.
The study will target marginalised and venerable communities, including gay men, men who have sex with men, injecting drug users, transgender women and sex workers, to test and pilot localised engagement strategies. The study will also aim to foster effective research capabilities within Indonesia to ensure a sustainable future.
