Over the last 22 years, the Gay and Lesbian Organisation of Business and Enterprise (GLOBE) Inc. has delivered over $42,000 in grants that support individuals, groups and organisations within Melbourne’s thriving GLBTI community.
Last night, at an event attended by former Victorian State Premier Ted Baillieu, the Minister for Small Business Mr Russell Northe MP and the Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon. David Davis MLC, the GLOBE Community Grants were announced.
This year the organisation issued more grants than ever before and JOY 94.9’s Dean Beck caught up with the President of GLOBE, David Micallef to find out who were the big winners in 2014. David reveals that GLOBE will soon hold the inaugural GLOBE Community Awards recognising the inspiring work done by individuals for Victoria’s GLBTI community.
